the summer and the fall November 6, 2018 I got a roll of film back from a disposable camera. But the first two are Laura’s. In June, to everyone’s surprise, I received the Lieutenant Governor’s Emerging Artist Award and we went to an awards ceremony akin to a royal wedding. Laura, Hannah, and I made a 1-minute silent film called GNOSSIENNE. It screened as part of the 2018 Gotta Minute Film Festival. We moved back into the same apartment and slept (almost) every night in the same bed. I got to know this beautiful woman a bit better. I ate a lot of ice cream and spent time with my sisters. Dylan sold his short film PEAK OIL to Air Canada. We went to New York and visited a neighbourhood called Red Hook. We visited Dylan’s aunt and uncle and the Brooklyn library with its golden pillars. We camped in the van. We bought a new table and hosted our fourth annual Friendsgiving, crowding 30 people into our apartment. We spent a lot of time at FAVA. Dylan became Programming Chair and somehow I became Treasurer.
