Meyer lemon muffins





Laura is coming over, and these are for afternoon tea. They're basic lemon poppyseed muffins, except that instead of just using the zest and the juice of fresh lemons, I included thin pieces of two whole fruits (doused with sugar) as well.




What else was I to do with incredibly expensive, meltingly soft, clementine-scented Meyer lemons? (Make curd. But there are still three left.)
